Agasthyarkoodam Guided Trek Batches

KeralaTrekking organises guided batches for the Agasthyarkoodam trek: a three day, two night trek from Bonacaud to the 1,868 m peak. Send an enquiry to find out which batch is open, what to prepare and how to confirm your seat.

Guided batches

Each batch is three days and two nights. Dates below show the start and end of the trek. Pickup is at 5:00 AM on day one at Trivandrum Central Railway Station, and the expected drop-off on day three is about 7:30 PM, so avoid booking a tight onward journey that evening.

How it works

1. Enquire. Send your preferred dates and group size using the form below or WhatsApp.
2. We confirm what is open. We reply with matching batches and the booking details.
3. Share participant details. Have your photo ID and the required documents ready, including the fitness certificate.
4. Final instructions. You get the reporting point, timings and what to carry before the trek.

Before you send an enquiry

• Pick two date windows, a main one and a backup.
• Know how many people are in your group.
• Check that everyone meets the eligibility rules on the rules page. Foreign nationals are not permitted on this trek.
• Read the permits and cost page so the process is clear.

Price and payment plan

The price is shared on WhatsApp when you ask about a batch. Payment is made in two parts: one at registration and the balance at least 15 days before the trek date. If the batch starts in less than 15 days, the balance is due at registration, and we confirm the exact payment steps on WhatsApp.

What a batch includes

• Pickup and drop from Trivandrum Central Railway Station (pickup 5:00 AM, expected drop about 7:30 PM on day three)
• Forest entry permits and trek permissions
• An experienced trek leader and a local guide
• All meals from day one through day three lunch, plus morning and evening tea at base camp
• Two nights at the Athirumala base camp dormitory, with separate dorms for men and women
• Basic first-aid support

Not included

• Personal expenses and personal trekking gear (shoes, backpack, trekking pole, rainwear)
• Travel and medical insurance, and medical expenses
• Expenses from emergencies, natural calamities or unforeseen circumstances
• Anything not listed under inclusions

Cancellation policy

• Forest permits are booked through the Kerala Forest Department portal and are non-refundable.
• Once a booking is completed, cancellation and refund are not available.
• A name transfer may be possible only if the Forest Department booking system allows changes before the trek date. If participant details cannot be changed, the booking lapses if the registered participant cancels.
• Book only after you have confirmed you are available, and double-check your name, age and ID details before submitting.
